CallView API
The CallView API lets your CRM, or any system you run, hand leads to CallView and hear back what happened on each call.
This is the path a lead takes:
- You send the lead with
POST /leads. - CallView’s AI calls it, often within seconds.
- If the lead wants to buy, someone on your team takes over the same call.
- When the call is over, we send
call.completedto your webhook: the outcome, a short note on what was said, and where to fetch the recording and the transcript.
Start with the Quickstart. You’ll use a test key, a pretend lead and a real webhook, and it takes about 10 minutes. A test key never phones anyone and never costs anything.
QuickstartYour first lead and your first webhook, in about 10 minutes.
Speed to leadWhat happens after POST /leads: the queue, call now, held and scheduled leads.
Webhooks and signaturesGet told the outcome. Check that it really came from us.

The basics
Section titled “The basics”| Address | https://v2-api.callview.ai/api/v1/external. Every path in this guide starts from there. |
| Keys | A key ID (ck_live_... or ck_test_...) and a secret (cs_live_... or cs_test_...), made in CallView under Settings > API. See Keys and authentication. |
| Format | JSON in and out. Phone numbers as +1 and 10 digits. Times in UTC, like 2026-10-06T17:05:20Z. |
| Test or live | Every object says "livemode": true or false, so you can tell sample data from real data at a glance. |
| Help | Every reply has a Request-Id header. If something looks wrong, open a ticket from Help in the CallView app and paste that ID in, and we can find your exact request. |
